Schools can't send children home because the laundry's broken.

Boarding houses, sports departments, catering kitchens and nurseries all depend on laundry equipment that works every day. We service, repair and maintain commercial laundry equipment for schools, colleges and academy trusts across the East Midlands — quickly and with minimal disruption to the school day.

Where schools need laundry equipment

Education sites often have more laundry demands than people expect. Boarding houses need regular linen and uniform turnaround. Sports departments wash kit after every session. Catering staff need clean uniforms. Nurseries and early years settings need frequent washing of bedding, clothing and soft furnishings. When the machine goes down, each of these areas feels it.

Schools are expected to maintain hygiene standards as a matter of course.A broken machine in a nursery or boarding setting isn't just an inconvenience — it creates a gap in the hygiene routine that has to be covered somehow. A planned service contract prevents that gap from opening in the first place.

We work with schools, academy trusts and local authority education sites on planned maintenance contracts that keep equipment running, emergency callouts when repairs can't wait, and replacement installation when a machine reaches the end of its working life.

What we do for education sites

Planned Service Contracts

  • Annual or twice-yearly preventative maintenance

  • Drum, bearing and seal checks before they become failures

  • Heating element and programme verification

  • Priority callout response within the contract

  • Service records for each visit — useful for premises audits and Ofsted preparation

When Things Break

  • Emergency callouts and scheduled repair

  • Gas safety inspections on gas-fired equipment (Gas Safe Registered)

  • WRAS-compliant water connection checks

  • Replacement equipment supply and installation when a machine reaches end of life

  • Removal and safe disposal of old equipment

Working around the school day

Minimal disruption to site

We're used to working on active sites with restricted access windows. If you need a service visit outside term time, first thing in the morning, or away from high-traffic areas, we'll work around it. Tell us the constraints when you book and we'll accommodate them.

We carry CHAS accreditation and Safe Contractor approval, and we're Gas Safe Registered — so your premises manager and site team have all the documentation they need before we arrive on site.

ESPO Local authority school or academy trust? We're an ESPO framework supplier — your procurement or business manager can engage us directly without running a separate tender.
